Information Management Advisory Services

The Information Management (IM) Branch of the OCIO has a team of IM resources that constitutes IM Advisory Services.
Specifically, IM Advisory Services will:

  • Provide advice and guidance on how to use existing IM standards
  • Respond to specialized inquiries (e.g., disposal of special media, copies, etc.)
  • Research and recommend best practices (e.g., email, use of shared drive)
  • Complete a review of existing Classification/Retention & Disposition practices and make recommendations for improvement
  • Document information handling processes
  • Research issues related to public access to information
  • Final product of IM consultation will be a report that includes recommendations and next steps to achieve long/short term IM goals
  • Report to include scoping of phases/projects
