About the PMO

The PMO is a supporting arm of the Corporate Services & Projects (CS&P) Branch; it defines and maintains standards for project delivery and is also the source of documentation, guidance and metrics on the practice of Project Management.

Mission

The PMO’s mission is to further the understanding of Project Management, deliver a successful framework, encourage professional development, create the professional tools needed for successful Project Management, and promote the need for continuous improvement.

Vision

The PMO's vision is to promote best practice standards and methodologies into a Project Management discipline that advances the core vision and mission of the CS&P Branch of the OCIO comprising education, training, and a set of guiding principles. These principles will be applied uniformly and shall be based on the Project Management Institute's (PMI) A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

Goal

  • To provide the best services and training possible;
  • To provide simple and easy to use processes and methodology for Project Managers; and
  • To continually review the processes and framework to incorporate feedback from users.
