One of the strategic responsibilities of the Office of CIO is to assist and enable the growth of a sustainable IT Industry in this province while advancing the transformation aspects of IT Service Delivery within government.  As part of the strategic planning process of the Office of CIO, initiatives are currently being planned to effect and facilitate this goal. 

The Office of the CIO would like to work collaboratively with the Nati and its members to ensure that future procurement agreements with industry embrace joint principles of capacity building, concepts of first customer and others that support industry development while meeting governments immediate and future IT needs.
